Life Legacy


Mrs. Martha Irene Murray, age 87, of Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday November 16, 2010 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL, following a stroke earlier in the week.
Born September 25, 1923 in Newburgh, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harmon Robert and Mamie Alice (Reinoehl) Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband Junior H. Murray. Martha was a production Line Worker for L.S. Heath & Sons Candy Plant in Robinson, IL; she also performed housekeeping services and was a wait person in several local restaurants. She was a member of the Robinwood Assembly of God Church in Robinson and was a Poll Worker for the Crawford County Election Committee.

Martha is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph & Diane Murray, Robinson, IL, Kevin & Sherri Murray, Robinson, IL, Jan Murray & Terri Sheridan, Robinson, IL, Monty Murray & Fiancee Penni Mefford, Robinson, IL; daughters & sons-in-law, Colleen McDaniel, Robinson, IL, Joene Goodwin, Robinson, IL, Ruth & Jerry Lewis, Oblong, IL, Trudy & Gene Wright, Robinson, IL, daughter-in-law, Jenna & John Murphy, Flat Rock, IL. Sisters-in-law, Wilma Montgomery, Robinson, IL, Jean Sullivan, Jacksonville, FL, Welcome Montgomery, California, brother-in-law, Carl Tuttle, Robinson, IL; special best friend & cousin, Mrs. Edna Montgomery, Robinson, IL; nineteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday November 18, 2010 from 9:00 am until time of funeal service at 11:00 am at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, IL with Pastor James Parks officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robinson Food Pantry, Robinwood Assembly of God Church or Resident's Activity Fund, Brookstone Estates, Robinson, IL.
