Life Legacy


Jeffrey A. Cook, age 52 of Palestine, Illinois, died Saturday February 5, 2011 of injuries sustained in a single vehicle rollover accident on the Indian Boundary Road, North edge of Robinson, Illinois.

He was born December 8, 1958, the son of Marvin L. and Maxine C. (Moore) Cook. He was employed as a crew foreman for Crawford County Oil, Robinson, Illinois. Was a member of the Crawford Post #4549, V.F.W., and E.M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion, Robinson, Illinois.

Surviving are his parents, Marvin and Maxine Cook, Robinson, Illinois; a special friend, Elaine Sullivan, Palestine, Illinois; former companion, Ruth Hall, Louisville, Kentucky; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica & Joey McVicar, Lewis, Indiana, LaTara Cook, Louisville, Kentucky; stepdaughter, Micha Hall, Louisville, Kentucky; grandsons, Max Liston McVicar, Lewis Indiana and Brayden Alexander Hall, Lousville, Kentucky; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Karen Cook, Hutsonville, Illinois; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Don Brunk, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Karen and Greg Pike, Claremore, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Velda Cook; Frances and Bethel Moore and several aunts and uncles.

There will be cremation with private family services on Wednesday February 9, 2011.

Herb & Karan Osborn

We are so sorry for your loss. Jeff and Elaine always kept us entertained at the American Legion. We always looked forward to seeing him. We will miss seeing him and listening to him and Yancy bickering back and forth. He will be missed by his friends here at the Legion.
