THOMAS W. "TOM" COX, 80, of Hutsonville, Illinois passed away at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in Regional Hospital Terre Haute, IN.
He was born March 3, 1931 in Hutsonville, IL to Chambers Lee Cox and Opal Garnet (Akeman) Cox.
Survivors include his spouse, Doris L. (McMahan) Mason Cox of Hutsonville, IL whom he married November 23, 1994; sons & daughters-in-law, Gary & Denise Cox of West Union, IL, Michael & Teresa Cox of Jasonville, IN; Gregg & Rhonda Cox of Hutsonville, IL; step-son, Greg & Beth Mason of Washington, IN; daughter-in-law, Linda Mason of Sullivan, IN; grandchildren, Blake & Heather Cox, Brian & Amanda Cox, Tracy Cox-Porter, Travis & Jennifer Cox, Joseph Cox, Jason & Lindi Bonesteel, Justin Cox; step-grandchildren, Damon Mason, Matt & Asanda Mason, Darin Mason, Brad & Abby Mason; Jason & Jamie Mason, Jared Mason; 10 great-great grandchildren; sister, Pat Woolverton of Hutsonville, IL; niece, Rhonda Atwood-Mikeworth of Jarles, NM.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Mark Mason.
Tom was a retired farmer, bus driver for the Hutsonville School System and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was member of the First Christian Church of Hutsonville, IL where he was active as an elder for many years. He enjoyed wood-working and being outdoors. Tom enjoyed time spent with his family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at the Pulliam Funeral Home in Hutsonville, IL. Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Central Standard Time on Friday and 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Pulliam Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the funeral home with Bro. Bill Wilkinson officiating.
Interment is at the Hutsonville Cemetery in Hutsonville, IL.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Gideon Bible Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Tom, my christian brother. I*ve known you all my life. You have always took the time to talk to me,when others didnt. I will miss you, your smile and welcome every sunday.
