Mr. David L. "Dave" Pringle, age 72, died Wednesday May 4, 2011 at 1:55 AM at his residence in Oblong, Illinois.

Dave was born October 16, 1938 in Robinson, Illinois, the son of James S. and Magdelene (Einert) Pringle. On February 11, 1962 he married Carol S. (Bennett), and she preceded him in death Marcy 7, 2000. Dave was a mechanic for Seifert Automotive, Oblong, Illinois for 32 years; Fisher Auto Parts - Robinson, Illinois; served in the US Army; member First Presbyterian Church, Robinson, Illinois; Elder of the Church; member Oblong American Legion Post #219; Tri-County Motorcycle Club; Oblong Masonic Lodge #644 AF & AM; served as past Grand Master; Life member of National Street Machine Club; Crawford County Shrine Club; Member of the Danville Consistory. Dave also liked to tinker with cars, yard work and he loved to ride his motorcycle.

He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Timothy D. and Ruth Pringle, Annapolis, Illinois, Douglas M. Pringle, Robinson, Illinois; grandchildren, Amada S. Pringle, Annapolis, Illinois, Timothy J. "T.J." Pringle, Annapolis, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law, Phillip W. and Shirley Pringle, Olney, Illinois; sister-in-law, Carol J. Pringle, Casey, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife and one brother, James E. Pringle.

Funeral services will be Saturday May 7, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois with visitation Friday May 6, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home and Saturday from 8:00 am until time of service. Masonic service 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home; full Military Rites conducted by Oblong American Legion Post #219. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Oblong American Legion Post #219 with envelopes available at the funeral home.
