Mr. Warren D. Wright, age 68, of Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday May 31, 2011 at the Palm Terrace Nursing Center, Mattoon, Illinois, following several years of battling Alzheimer's Disease. He was born July 5, 1942 in Hunt City, Illinois, the son of Wilbert W. and Wilma E. (Tipton) Wright. On December 27, 1964, he married Bonnie Lee (Cole) Wright, and she survives. Warren was a retired School Teacher, Principal at Lincoln Grade School, Retired Assistant Regional Superintendent of Schools, working in the field of education for 36 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church, BPO Elks, #1188, former member of the Robinson Lions Club; graduated EIU in 1965 with a Bachelors in Education and received his Masters in Education from EIU in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Wright, Robinson, Illinois; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jennifer Wright, Salem, Ohio, Bradley and Rosi Wright, Kansas, Illinois, Todd Wright, Robinson, Illinois; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace "Gene" and Trudy Wright, Robinson, Illinois; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terry Wright; two brothers, Wayne Wright and Wilbur Wright.

Graveside services will be Saturday June 4, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday June 3, 2011 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Lincoln Elementary School, Robinson, Illinois, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
