Mr. Michael C. Rippy, age 59, of Robinson, Illinois, died Saturday January 28, 2012 at the Illiana Veteran's Medical Center, Danville, Illinois, following several months of worsening health. Born October 21, 1952 in Robinson, Illinois, the son of Charles Hubert and Betty (Gatton) Rippy. Mike owned and operated Rippy Electric Service for several years and was a member of the international Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; was a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons Lodge #250, Robinson, Illinois; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Danville, Danville, Illinois; AINAD Shrine Temple, Valley of St. Louis, Belleville, IL; E.M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion, Robinson, Illinois; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4549, Robinson, Illinois.

Survivors include a son, Cameron L. Rippy, Bollingbrook, Illinois; Stepson, Joshua A. Koplinski, Joliet, Illinois; Granddaughter, Isla Rosemary Koplinski, Joliet, Illinois; neighbor and close friend, Sharon Cowden, Robinson, Illinois, along with several cousins. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Aunts and Uncles.

Funeral services will be Friday February 3, 2012 at 10:30 am at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois, with visitation Thursday February 2, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with Masonic Services at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois. Military Graveside Rites will be provided by Crawford Post #4549, V.F.W; E.M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion and the Amvets Post #33. Memorial donations may be made to the Veteran's Transportation Fund, VFW Post #4549, Robinson, Illinois, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
