Mrs. Donna M. Meese, age 73, of Oblong, Illinois, went home to the Lord on Thursday March 15, 2012 at 9:14 pm at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Born December 24, 1938 in Hardinville, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer Eleseworth and Lorraine (Jukens) Milam Sr. On May 16, 1958 she married Morris LaVern Meese and he survives. Donna was employed as a cook at the Hi-Way Cafe, Oblong, Illinois and as a Home Care Giver and a Homemaker. She was a member of the Bible Chapel Church, Robinson, Illinois and enjoyed working puzzle books and making quilts.

Survivors include her husband, LaVern Meese, Oblong, Illinois; son Bill Meese, Hardinville, Illinois; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jerry Merideth, Hardinville, Illinois, Patty and Ed Higgins, Hardinville, Illinois; six grandchildren, Dustin Meese, Brandy Dunn, Marty Merideth, Dutches Merideth-Lowe, Cody Higgins and Rachel Higgins, seven great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Elmer Milam Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Jean Meese.

Funeral services will be Monday March 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois with Bro. Joe Griffith officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until time of service at 2:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, Illinois. Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home.
