Life Legacy


Mrs. Amanda Mae Waldrop, age 80, of Robinson, IL, died Sunday May 20, 2012 at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois, following a long period of declining health. Born November 21, 1931 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the daughter of Jesse and Maggie Mae (Windeknecht) Duckworth. On March 22, 1951 she married Alfred Oris Waldrop and he preceded her in death January 31, 1997. Amanda was employed as a Candy Line Worker by L.S. Heath and Sons, Robinson, Illinois.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Alfred O. and Linda Waldrop Jr., Robinson, Illinois; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Bill Barnbrook, Oblong, Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Marcie Moore, Indianapolis, Indiana; John and Cindy Moore, Festus, Missouri; grandchildren and spouses, Chad and Heather Waldrop; Ricky and Erica Barnbrook; Rory Waldrop; Nick and Jamie Waldrop; Castity Waldrop; fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Alfred in 1997; step-mother, Sylvia Marie Duckworth; son, Ricky Allen Waldrop in 2003; brother, Eugene Duckworth; grandson, Damon Waldrop, sister, Jessie Howell.

Twilight Funeral Services will be Wednesday May 23, 2012 at 7:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with Bro. George Meese officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. There will be cremation with interment of Cremated Remains in Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society through this website or with envelopes available at the funeral home.
