Myrtle Lee Lockhart, age 70, of Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday June 12, 2012 at her sister's residence in Powhaten, Arkansas, of natural causes.
Born August 23, 1941 in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of William Wesley and Patra Sebrana (Wells) Bryant. On August 18, 1956 she married John Wiseman and they later divorced. On September 10, 1966 she married Leland W. Lockhart and he survives. Myrtle was employed as a truck driver for Land Star Ranger for 10 years and Meals on Wheels since 1999.
She is survived by her husband, Leland W. Lockhart, Robinson, Illinois; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny Gene and Cheryl Wiseman, Claremont, Illinois, Carl Lee and Evelyn Wiseman, Robinson, Illinois, Leland Warren Lockhart, Jr., Robinson, Illinois; daughters and sons-in-law, Anita June and Maurice Midgley, Oklahoma, Paula Lee Disterhaupt, Robinson, Illinois, Bonita Fern and Martin Davis, Olney, Illinois; step daughters, Connie Marie and Tom Brazzell, Rushville, Indiana, Beverly Sue and James Short, Marion, Illinois; brother and sisters-in-law, Freddy and Mary Bryant, Batesville, Arkansas, Billy and Marie Bryant, Athens, Alabama, Donald and Joanna Bryant, Smithville, Arkansas; sister and brothers-in-law, Joyce and James Bryson, Smithville, Arkansas, Rose and Ricky Rodgers, Smithville, Arkansas; twenty seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday June 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sheila Ducommon officiating. Visitation will be Friday June 15, 2012 from 12:00 noon until time of services at 2:00 PM. There will be a graveside burial at 10:30 AM Saturday June 16, 2012 at the Charlottesville Cemetery, rural Lawrenceville, Illinois with Pastor Dewayne Sovdi officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
