Life Legacy


Mrs. Eva May Young, age 86, of Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday July 24, 2012 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois, of complications following surgery to repair a broken hip. Born April 29, 1928 in Licking Township, Annapolis, Illinois, the daughter of Felix Hannibal and Naomi Pearl (Matheney) Stephens. On November 29, 1946 she married Elvis D. "Ike" Young, and he survives. May was a homemaker; worked for L.S. Heath and Sons, Robinson, Illinois and for the Porterville School System as a Kitchen Employee. She was a member of the Christian Dugan Church; enjoyed music and dancing at Hardinville, Ste. Marie, Newton, Bone Gap and Albion, Illinois.

Survivors include her husband Ike; sons and daughters-in-law, Garry A. and Terry Young, Annapolis, Illinois; Steven K. and Judy Young, Robinson, Illinois; grandchildren, Troy and Jill Young, Robinson, Illinois; Jacey and Justin Legg, Flat Rock, Illinois; Justin and Amanda Young, Edwards Port, Indiana; Zachary Young, Robinson, Illinois; Amos and Candice Young, Robinson, Illinois; great-grandchildren; Jarrett Young; Quinton Young; Makaelan Legg; MaKenzee Legg; Spencer Legg; Brysen Legg; Addisyn Young; Ashlyn Young and Tayenne Young along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Delaine Stephens and Major Stephens as well as a sister, Inez Hart.

Funeral service will be Friday July 27, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois with Pastor Tom Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday July 26, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, Illinois. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association thru our website or envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
